March 2015 Client News and Notes – SPCA of Northern Nevada

Founded in 1998, the SPCA of Northern Nevada, is Reno's first no-kill animal shelter. The SPCA’s mission is to be an innovative regional leader in the responsible treatment of homeless dogs and cats, primarily through their rescue and placement in forever loving homes and by promoting spaying and neutering to control pet overpopulation.

Operating in the beautiful new Stanley James Walker Pet Care and Adoption Facility - designed and built by another ECC client, Pinecrest Construction – the SPCA can house up to 60 dogs and 100 cats at a time and the have an Active Foster Care Program, as well. Every animal that the SPCA adopts to the public is spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped for permanent identification at our clinic. All cats are tested for FELV/FIV.

Truly, they are doing some great things in this community and we are proud to consider them friends and clients. Please take a look at a couple of their upcoming fundraising events and make sure to go check out the facility.

Let Me Root Root Root for the Aces!
On Sunday, July 5th attend the Reno Aces baseball game with the SPCA. Buy your ticket through the SPCA and a portion of ticket sales will benefit the SPCA of Northern Nevada. Tickets are only $12, and all our wonderful SPCA supporters will sit together in right field. The Reno Aces will be playing the Sacramento River Cats. The River Cats are one of our biggest rivals; they are an affiliate of the Giants who won the World Series last year. There will be a fireworks extravaganza featuring a ten minute post-game show, baseball bingo and children 12 and under can run the bases.
